Tectonometamorphic processes in Alpine and pre-Alpine orogenic belts

The deeper structural levels of the Alps, Carpathians, Balkan mountains, Dinarides, and Hellenides comprise metamorphic rocks of various age and P-T conditions, from very low to ultrahigh metamorphic grade. Metamorphic and magmatic petrologists, structural geologists, and geochronologists collaborate to unravel their geodynamic evolution. In this session, we invite all contributions dealing with  petrology, tectonics and geochronology of metamorphic complexes and focus on tectonometamorphic evolution of ancient and recent orogens.
