Visit of the mineral collection and the archabbey of St. Peter in Salzburg

The archabbey St. Peter in Salzburg is the oldest monastery in the German-speaking area. The monastic community currently comprises 22 monks and about 80 employees. A special feature is the large mineral collection, comprising about 10.800 minerals, 2.375 rocks, and 3.500 fossils, which is exhibited in the monastery rooms. Archabbot Korbinian Birnbacher and custodian Norbert Urban will guide through the mineral exhibition and the impressive rooms of the prelature.
